How to set up a meeting point
The idea is to keep a node running and to use it to set up rendezvous.
- Launch your navigator and do “new node”
- Go to the dialog box and be sure that “kill node when living” is off
- In "Actions" menu do "myAdress" (Ctrl-C), the IP/port of your node
- The meeting point is now in your clipboard. You can paste it in your invitation e-mail, blog or web page
If your meeting point stands close to a famous meeting point, you will certainly have a lot of people in the surrounding of yours. But be careful to not be "eaten" by a too famous meeting point !
Hint
You can choose your port using a configuration file. Edit the following example.conf and do:
- python twistednode.py -f example.conf
- python navigator.py
and do "Connect to existing node", the port is the xmlrpc port of the .conf file
Known bug
There is a memory leak in the navigator, don’t forget to quit the navigator once a day.
When re-launching the navigator, do “connect to existing node”.
How to jump to a meeting point
Direct Jump
The less friendly way to jump to a meeting point.
Someone gave you the address of a meeting point 123.45.567.89:9999.

Using bookmarks
You can bookmark a "meeting point" by doing right-click on the avatar.
Then you can jump to meeting points using the "Bookmarks" menu
